This Privacy Policy ("Policy"), along with our Terms and Conditions as outlined on the FastCent mobile application ("App") and any additional terms and conditions, apply to your use of the App and any services provided by FastCent NIGERIA LIMITED ("FastCent," "we," or "us").

This Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you or that you provide to us. The Policy also describes your rights regarding our collection, use, storage, sharing, and protection of your personal data.

By clicking the "Sign Up" button and using the App or accessing any of the services (as defined below) on the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms of this Policy. You also consent to the collection, use, storage, processing and disclosure of your personal data in the manner set out in this Policy and the Terms and Conditions.

We may update this Policy at any time by publishing the amended terms on the App. All amended terms become effective on the day they are published on the App. We may also notify you of such updates via the App's messaging platform.

For the purpose of this Policy, "Services" refer to any services or products that FastCent offers you through the App that you may subscribe to from time to time.

Please carefully read the following to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

Personal Data

(i) Throughout this Policy, "personal data" refers to information that can be associated with a specific person and used to identify that person. We do not consider anonymous information that does not refer to a specific user as personal data.

(ii) We may collect and process the following types of personal data to provide you with access to our App and Services:

Personal details like name, age, email address, phone number, physical contact information, personal description, photograph, username, password, other registration information, and financial information like bank verification number, credit card or bank account numbers;
Transactional information based on your App activities, such as purchase history, content you generate or that relates to your account, billing details, and other information you may have provided in connection with your orders;
Personal information you provide to us through information pages, chats, complaints, customer service channels, or provided to us from other social applications or services;
Additional personal information we ask you to submit as part of our verification process. For example, we may ask you to provide an identification document or utility bill to verify your address or answer additional questions online to help us verify your identity
Other supplemental information about you from a credit bureau, demographic and navigation data, and credit check information obtained from third parties, as permitted by law;
Information from your interaction with our App, Services, content, and advertising, including device ID, type, unique device identifiers, geo-location information, computer, operating system and connection information, statistics on page views, IP address, and standard web log information;
Information stored on your device, including contact lists, call logs, SMS logs, Facebook friends, contact lists from other social media accounts, photos, videos or other digital content:
Details of your App visits, including traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data

(iii) This information may be provided or collected by:

Filling in forms on the App
Corresponding with us by email or chat
Registering to use the App
Subscribing to any of our services
Sharing data via the App's social media functions
Entering a competition, promotion, or survey
Reporting an issue with the App or our Services

(iv) To comply with local KYC policy, we may dial someone in your contact list, SMS, call list, or other personal information you provide to us. During the verification process, we will not disclose your personal data to others.

Tracking and Cookies

(i) We may use mobile tracking technologies and/or cookies to distinguish you from other App users. This helps us to improve the user experience on the App.

(ii) While you are free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, please note that doing so may interfere with your use of some of our Services.

Certain features are available only through the use of cookies.
We use cookies to help identify you and maintain your sign-in status.
Most cookies are "session cookies," meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of a session.
You may encounter cookies from third parties, our service providers, that we have allowed on our App to assist us with various aspects of our App operations and services.
You may also encounter cookies from third parties on certain pages of the App that we do not control and have not authorized. For example, if you view a web page created by another user, there may be a cookie placed by that web page.
Google Advertising ID

(i) We need the data of this Google Advertising ID and show you personalised ads based on the Google Advertising ID.

(ii) Google Advertising ID is an unknown identifier that is provided by Google to show more targeted ads on mobile devices. We will only collect and use it with the explicit authorization and consent of the user. Besides, it is not associated with the user's personal information. We promise to protect your privacy and security of data.

Use of Your Data

We will only collect your information for the following purposes and not use it for any other purposes:

Call log
Fastcent will need you to approve call log access to read and upload when you conduct voice validation or when the financial risk is assessed. The data collected will be uploaded to a secure server (https://api.fastcent.net).
Calendar
Fastcent will access your calendar, read and upload your notes, and write repayment calendar notes if you authorize it. The calendar notes will help us better evaluate your financial risk. The collected information will be uploaded to the server (https://api.fastcent.net).
Camera
During credit checks, Fastcent will request access to your camera and will take your picture to ensure it is you who conduct the loan transaction and protect your financial security. The pictures taken will be uploaded to the server (https://api.fastcent.net).
GPS
Our services are limited to users who are active within Nigeria. When you conduct key actions, including logging in or borrowing money, we will request your GPS consent to ensure that you are currently in Nigeria. Your location information will be uploaded to the server (https://api.fastcent.net).
Device
Fastcent will access your device information to help evaluate your financial risk. The gathered information will be uploaded to the server (https://api.fastcent.net).
Contact
During credit checks, Fastcent will ask for approval to access and read your contact list to evaluate financial risk and identify fraudulent users. The collected contact information will be uploaded to the server (https://api.fastcent.net).
Installed app list
Fastcent will ask for access to your device's installed app list to ensure that you have not installed any tools or apps aimed at changing your information during data submission. This information will help us identify your authenticity. The collected information will be uploaded to the server (https://api.fastcent.net).
Other information
We may collect and manage personal information, including your name, age, email, location, phone number, and other data to ensure your access to our app and services.

Fastcent data storage: Your personal information will be encrypted before being uploaded and stored. Fastcent will not share your data in any way with third parties without your consent. Apart from the specific described situations, Fastcent will not use your personal information.

Disclosure of your information

(i) We may share your personal information in response to legal or regulatory requests, to enforce our policies, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of anyone. Any such disclosure will be made according to applicable laws and regulations.

(ii) We may share your personal information with any member of our group (which includes our subsidiaries, affiliates, our holding company, and its subsidiaries) to provide joint content and services (such as customer support) and to help detect and prevent potentially illegal acts and violations of our policies. These entities may also use this information to send you marketing communications, but you may unsubscribe from their mailing list.

(iii) We may also share your personal information:

In the event that we plan to merge with or be acquired by another business entity. Your personal data may be one of the transferred assets. We will make all reasonable efforts to minimize changes to this Policy, but we will notify you if there are any changes as a result of such acquisition, merger, or combination.
If we sell or buy any business or asset. We may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
To law enforcement agencies, governmental agencies, or other authorized third parties if we are under a legal or regulatory obligation to disclose or share your personal data (such as in response to a request relating to a civil or criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity).
To enforce our Terms and Conditions and other agreements or to investigate potential breache.
For the purpose of publishing statistical information about the use of the app, in which case all information will be aggregated and made anonymous.
To third parties to whom you explicitly ask us to send your information (or about whom we explicitly notify you and obtain your consent before sending your information to such third parties).
To credit bureaus. We may report information about your account to credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report.

(iv) We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to other parties unless necessary to comply with an order of a court, an arbitration panel, a tribunal, an investigator panel, or any other legal or regulatory obligation. However, we may provide anonymous or aggregate information about our users to third parties.

Storage of your information

(i) The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside Nigeria. It may also be processed by staff operating outside Nigeria who works for us or for one of our suppliers. By submitting your personal data, you agree to the collection, transfer, storage, or processing of your personal data as described in this Policy. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated, stored, and processed securely and in accordance with this Policy.

(ii) If you have a password to access certain parts of the app, you are responsible for keeping it confidential and not sharing it with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the app; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.

(iii) We expect that the personal information you provide to us is accurate and up to date, and we will provide you with the opportunity to update your information through your account profile settings. We retain information as long as it is necessary and relevant for our operations. In addition, we may retain personal information from closed accounts to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigation, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and take other actions permitted by law.

Your rights

(i) We will use your data to compile statistics relating to our user base, and we may disclose such information to any third parties for such purposes, provided that such information will always be anonymous.

(ii) If we wish to use your personal information for marketing purposes, we will inform you before such use. You have the right to prevent such use by informing us within three days of the proposed use that you do not wish to disclose such information in this manner. (iii) However, we may still use your information as part of anonymous or aggregate information for our marketing purposes.

(iiii) You have the right to ask us to delete your personal data that we currently hold. You can contact us ([email protected]) to make your request. We will act accordingly and respond to your request for deletion within a reasonable time of receiving it. However, please note that due to our operations and compliance considerations, we may not be able to delete business-related data.

Third Parties

This Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. If you disclose your information to other users or sites throughout the internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you provide. FastCent does not control the privacy policies of third parties and will not be liable for any illegal use of your personal information by such third parties. You are, however, subject to the privacy policies of those third parties where applicable. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others.

Consent

By downloading the app and accepting our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, you consent to us collecting, using, processing, sharing, or transmitting your personal information as described in this Policy.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may make changes to this Policy in the future, and any changes will be posted on this page. We will also notify you when you log onto the app if appropriate. You may be required to read and accept the new terms to continue using the app and our services. However, by continuing to use the app and our services after the posting of any changes, you confirm your continuing acceptance of this Policy and any changes made to it.
